Product Service | Complete Collection of Product Documentation for the HZ-WAVES Series Wave Sensor
Summary:
The HZ-WAVES series of wave sensors utilizes the MEMS (Micro-Electro-Mechanical Systems) gravity acceleration principle to measure waves. Based on classical wave theory, by measuring the motion acceleration and attitude of the carrier, it calculates wave height, wave period, wave direction, one-dimensional energy density spectrum, two-dimensional directional spectrum, and spectral characteristic parameters of wind and swell waves. Additionally, it can deduce wind speed, wind direction, and other data based on the wave spectrum. It features high measurement accuracy, low power consumption, compact size, light weight, stability, and reliability.

1. Application carrier:
This series of wave sensors are strictly implemented in accordance with the relevant regulations and standards of GB/T14914 "Ocean Observation Specifications", and can be applied to observation platforms such as buoys, Unmanned Surface Vessels, and unmanned ships.

2. Communication interface:
hardware interface
This series of wave sensors utilizes a water-tight aviation self-locking plug for external connections, including the positive power supply
Connecting wires for power supply ground, signal ground, RS232 receive, RS232 transmit, etc.
communication method
Bidirectional communication with the external device is achieved through a 3-wire RS232 serial port. The fixed configuration of the RS232 interface is as follows:
(1) Baud rate: 9600
(2) Data bits: 8
(3) Stop position: 1
(4) No check digit
(5) No process control bit
3. Technical parameters: This series of wave sensors comprises three models: WAVES-1A, WAVES-1B, and WAVES-1C. The WAVES-1A wave sensor utilizes an imported motion sensor, whereas the WAVES-1B and WAVES-1C wave sensors employ domestically produced motion sensors. The specific technical parameters are as follows:
