Close observation of Typhoon "Fireworks" - "Black Pearl" unmanned ship
Summary:
On December 16, 2020, the "Black Pearl" integrated a 200WX meteorological station, water temperature sensor, and wave sensor, and was deployed in the western waters of the Philippines to carry out unmanned and normalized observation tasks. So far, it has completed more than 10000 kilometers of offshore operations for 7 months.
At 02:00 on July 18, 2021, Typhoon 202106 "In fa" was generated on the ocean surface about 1130 kilometers south east of Yilan County, Taiwan, China Province, China. "Black Pearl" made a close observation of typhoon "Fireworks", and closely captured the change process of wind speed, wind direction, temperature, pressure, water temperature, etc. during the transit of typhoon. The maximum wind speed was 30.22m/s at 17:00 on July 21.
Previously, this type of unmanned ship successfully completed the observation mission of Typhoon Shuliji. On April 14, 2021 at 02:00, Typhoon Surigae (202102) formed in the eastern waters of the Philippines. "Black Pearl" conducted close range observations of Typhoon Surigae in the eastern waters of the Philippines, capturing changes in wind speed, direction, temperature, air pressure, water temperature, and other factors during the typhoon's decline and disappearance.
