The HZ-WSpotter7 wave buoy is a cost-effective solution for ocean wave data observation. It enables real-time wave monitoring and can retrieve parameters such as wind speed, wind direction, and sea surface water temperature. Additionally, it can be customized to measure additional variables based on user requirements. Its cost is 10 times lower than that of traditional platforms. The buoy supports dual-mode communication via Beidou and Iridium satellites, allowing users to view platform observation data and manage its status in real time through an online shore-based monitoring system. It features an intelligent early-warning system that sends alerts via email and SMS when the buoy detects abnormal conditions—such as location deviations or equipment malfunctions—enabling users to keep track of the buoy’s status in real time. The buoy can be deployed quickly and efficiently, ensuring effective observations even under extreme marine conditions.
