To adapt to the marine environment, the beacon is designed with waterproof features and equipped with a robust, UV-resistant housing for use in harsh marine conditions. It can withstand water pressures up to 100 meters deep. The beacon’s battery uses leak-proof batteries (such as Panasonic and Energizer). We recommend Energizer EN91 No. 5 alkaline batteries, Energizer E91 No. 5 alkaline batteries, and Energizer L91 No. 5 primary lithium batteries.

As a backup communication method, the surface beacon utilizes a low-power, real-time positioning and communication module to automatically or on-demand reliably transmit the platform’s location. Through a shore-based monitoring platform that periodically receives coordinate information, this system achieves the goal of real-time, remote monitoring of the location of the mounted platform.
